Geri's story
An empire built in a bathroom
Gergő Koródy's story began in a family bathroom, where at the age of 16, experimenting with scissors, a mirror and a few friends, he developed the professional instinct that still defines him today. With no backing, driven purely by instinct and perseverance, he forged his own path, which soon grew into a passion and then a calling.
From the bottom rung to the Grand Boulevard
At his first job his task was sweeping up hair, but Gergő learned from every move. Beyond precision, he learned that barbering is also about attention, humanity and humility in service. In 2014 he joined the generation of barbers who took men's grooming in Hungary to a new level. His first salon on Budapest's Grand Boulevard was soon followed by others in the city centre, at Etele Plaza and in Budaörs.
Beyond borders, rich in experience
His entrepreneurial spirit took him to Austria, where he opened two shops. Although one did not prove viable in the long run, the other is still going strong today. Gergő's philosophy is that every experience, success and failure alike, shapes who you are. His drive to keep growing also took form in 1902 KRDY, the modern men's grooming brand he founded in 2021: clean, professional and authentic, just like him.
His own name, his own future
His latest milestone is the barber shop bearing his own name at Corvin Plaza. It's not just a shop but a summary of his professional creed: a place where style meets quality. He is currently working at his own barber academy, preparing the next generation for a modern, internationally minded future in the trade. The story that began in a bathroom is now shaping the future of the profession.
